FILM RALLY

Call 2021

​

With the purpose of encouraging and promoting film production activity, the Audiovisual Foundation invites Bolivian Universities, Film Schools and Audiovisual Training Institutes to participate in the CINEMATOGRAPHIC RALLY to be held within the framework of the Santa Cruz International Film Festival, FENAVID on 21 to October 27, 2021.

The CINEMATOGRAPHIC RALLY consists of bringing together production teams of 5 people  representatives of film and audiovisual training institutions who have the mission of producing a short film of up to 5 minutes in 100 continuous hours. This year it will be held in  cities of residence of the team.

The participants have Master classes, general meetings with advisors, and  chats with renowned filmmakers for the activity. These meetings will be held online through platforms specially prepared by the Festival. The short films produced will be screened at the closing of the Santa Cruz International Film Festival, which will also be online.

Each member of the winning team, including the leading actor/actress invited by the festival, will receive a  a trophy  _cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b-136 Santabad5cf58d_ International Film Festival Cruz Fenavid in the CINEMATOGRAPHIC RALLY category.

Bases

1. Each team must be made up of 5 people for the areas of: Direction/script; Production and Art Direction, Direction of Photography, Sound and Assembly. (The initial idea and the script of the story is a collective work). Each member must demonstrate experience in their area in work done as a student or in independent productions.

 

1. Participating teams must use their own recording equipment (image and sound) and assembly.

2. The Cinematographic Rally is carried out under filming protocols. Each team is responsible for providing these biosafety equipment.

3. The Cinematographic Rally  will provide each team with a professional actor as the protagonist of their story. Supporting  actors and location options will be the responsibility of each team.

4. The stories of the teams' short films must be framed in the motto that will be announced at the beginning of the competition.

5. The works that reach a technical and narrative quality required by the jury will be exhibited at the Festival's award event.

6. The evaluation of the works will be in charge of a jury made up of national and  international cinematography professionals invited by the Festival. His decision is unappealable.

7. The cost of registration per team is 1,500 Bs. which must be deposited to account number: 4010600793 in the name of Fundación Audiovisual, at Banco Mercantil Santa Cruz.

8. Each team must fill out a registration form on the Festival website  www.fenavid.com  together with the deposit receipt.

9. Registration closes on September 29. The number of participating teams is limited.

10. With the registration of the participating teams, they accept the terms and regulations of this call.

11. The broadcasting rights, after the premiere of the short films, will be shared between the Institution and the Audiovisual Foundation, respecting the copyright of each participant and the Audiovisual Foundation as the producer of the short film.
